People take part in the ‘Pink Power Run 3.0’, to raise awareness about breast cancer, at People’s Plaza on Necklace Road in Hyderabad on Sunday.

Around 35,000 people participated in the third edition of the Pink Power Run at Hussain Sagar in Hyderabad on Sunday, with the event seeking to promote breast cancer awareness, preventive healthcare, early detection and women’s empowerment.
The run, organised jointly by Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Limited (MEIL) and the Sudha Reddy Foundation was held at the HMDA Grounds near Prasads. It featured 21 km, 10 km, 5 km and 3 km races, attracting participants across age groups and from different backgrounds.
The run was flagged off in the presence of Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Danasari Anasuya Seethakka and Telangana Director General of Police (DGP) C.V. Anand.
The 21-km half marathon saw participation of runners from more than a dozen countries, including the U.S., the U.K., the UAE, Ethiopia, Uganda, Sri Lanka, Iceland, Tanzania, Botswana, Kenya and Canada. Ramabai Ranveer, a 47-year-old woman from Ambajogai in Maharashtra’s Beed district, was among the participants. She had earlier drawn attention for running 5 km barefoot to support the education of her children.
Suneel Kumar won the men’s title in the 21-km half marathon while Sonam emerged winner in the women’s category. Harish Shareen and Vandana Patel won the men’s and women’s 10-km races, respectively. Luv Choudhary won the men’s 5-km race, while Anjali secured the women’s title.
The organisers awarded cash prizes totalling ₹75 lakh to the winners of different race categories, besides medals and trophies.
U.S. Consul General Laura Williams participated in the 10-km run while founder of Sudha Reddy Foundation, Sudha Reddy, MEIL managing director P.V. Krishna Reddy and Miss World 2025 Opal Suchata took part in the 5-km and 10-km races.
