A 16-year-old boy A. Vidyadhara was fatally knocked down when a speeding truck hit the bike he was riding under Sholavandan police station limits on Saturday morning.
The police said that the boy, studying Class 11, was living in his aunt’s house in Sholavandan.
On Saturday, he had taken a bike and rode it on Sholavandan to Melakkal Road. While he was passing through RMS Colony, a truck that was following him hit his bike.
The boy who fell down sustained head injuries and was killed on the spot.
Sholavandan police are investigating.
