Three men were arrested by the Rajendranagar police on Monday in connection with the murder of a 34-year-old man in Upperpally following previous disputes.
The arrested were identified as Mohammed Iliyas, 28, Mohd. Shoaib alias Soheb, 22, and Shaik Sultan, 23. Police said Iliyas was previously involved in one case, while Shoaib was involved in five cases.
The victim, Mohd. Naseeruddin Ahmed Khan alias Waseem, was allegedly attacked with a knife and other objects near a tailor shop close to pillar number 185, around 5.36 p.m. on September 24.
Another person who attempted to intervene in the attack also sustained injuries. Naseeruddin was shifted to a hospital, where he was declared dead.
Police said the investigation indicated that the accused had allegedly conspired to kill Naseeruddin over previous disputes.
A knife, a brass knuckle, a two-wheeler, a mobile phone and blood-stained clothes allegedly connected with the offence were seized during the investigation. The three accused are being produced before the court for judicial remand. Further investigation is underway.
