An awareness programme on the National Pension System (NPS) for employers and employees of industries and MSMEs in the Mysuru region will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday, at Hotel Grand Serene, Vasantha Mahal Road in the city.
The programme is being jointly organised by the District Industries Centre (DIC), Mysuru; National Institute of Personnel Management (NIPM), Mysuru Chapter; Mysuru Industries Association (MIA); and MSME Council, in collaboration with the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA), Government of India, New Delhi.
According to a statement here, the programme aims to create greater awareness among employers and employees about NPS, retirement planning, pension benefits and long-term financial security. The session will also provide an opportunity for participants to understand various pension-related initiatives of the Government of India and the relevance of NPS for the industrial and MSME workforce.
Deputy general manager, PFRDA, New Delhi, Ismail Salam, will be the resource person and will address the participants on the NPS and Government of India pension schemes.
MLC K. Shivakumar will inaugurate the programme while MLA T.S. Srivatsa will preside over the function. Joint director, District Industries Centre (DIC), Mysuru, Dinesh will be the chief guest on the occasion.
The organisers have invited employers, employees, industrialists, MSME entrepreneurs, HR professionals and other stakeholders from the Mysuru region to participate and benefit from the awareness session.
