Popular reality show Bigg Boss Kannada inched towards resumption after contestants moved back to the studio on Thursday (October 09, 2025). The 12th season of the reality show had come to a standstill after the Pollution Control Board had ordered the closure of M/s. Vels Studio and Entertainment Limited located in Bidadi Industrial Area for non-compliance of environmental norms.

The organisers of the show said the latest development is a result of the intervention of Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, who “directed Deputy Commissioner of Bengaluru South District to lift the seal” on the studio. The Deputy Chief Minister took to social media to inform that “the studio will be given time to address violations in accordance with the norms set by the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board.”

After the show was disrupted on October 07, 2025, the 17 contestants were moved to a resort for a couple of days. Having begun on September 28, 2025, Bigg Boss Kannada had 19 contestants in its opening weekend. Till now, two contestants have been evicted.

The makers continued to telecast visuals that were initially edited out or kept as standby to keep the show running. On Thursday, visuals of the contestants entering the studio and trying to get back to their tasks were shot to ensure fresh content for Friday’s episode, said the organisers. They added that the show is nearing resumption.
