
The leopard finally walked into a cage kept on the premises of the Hubballi Airport on Monday night.

After over a month-long vigil and efforts, the Forest Department has finally managed to capture the leopard that had strayed into Hubballi city and was sighted in the vicinity of Hubballi Airport on several occasions.
After the leopard was sighted by locals and captured in the cameras installed by the department, the officials concerned visited those places where the leopard was sighted and laid traps to capture the wild animal.
Four cages were kept at different locations based on sightings and movements of the leopard.
The leopard finally walked into a cage kept in the bushy area of the airport premises on Monday night.
Confirming the capture of the leopard, Range Forest Officer R.S. Uppar has said that the captured wild animal will soon be let into the forest.
