In a move towards improving perinatal health and reducing congenital disabilities, Preethi Hospitals conducted ‘Imaging Insights 2.0’ in Madurai, recently.
According to a press release, the academic conference brought together over 250 medical professionals from across the country to explore the latest advancements in Obstetric, Gynaecological imaging, and Fetal Medicine. The core theme of the Continuing Medical Education programme was treating ‘Mother and Fetus as a single unit (Foetal Medicine).
Experts emphasised that Fetal Medicine is no longer an optional specialty but an essential component of modern clinical practice. By focusing on early diagnosis, risk stratification, and in-utero fetal therapy, the conference aimed to address the long-term public health impact of congenital anomalies and prematurity, the press release added.
Chief Consultant Gynaecologist and Managing Director of Preethi Hospitals Hema Sivakumar, TNGDA State President K. Senthil, K. G. Srinivasan and others participated. The conference featured live NT scan demonstrations, interactive panel discussions, medical quizzes, and multidisciplinary integration involving Obstetricians, Neonatologists, Geneticists, and Paediatric Surgeons.
