All the counting centres in central districts will be under continuous CCTV surveillance and adequate number of Central Armed Police Forces and State police personnel will be deployed.

Preparations for the counting of votes for the Assembly elections, scheduled to take place on May 4, have been completed in Karur, Ariyalur, Nagapattinam, Mayiladuthurai, and Karaikal districts, with officials reviewing security measures and logistical arrangements.
The counting of votes polled in Karur, Aravakurichi, Kulithalai and Krishnarayapuram (SC) Assembly constituencies in Karur district will be taken up at M. Kumarasamy College of Engineering, Thalavaipalayam.
