Andhra Pradesh lorry owners urge Centre to drop plan to raise petrol, diesel prices

Andhra Pradesh Lorry Owners Association general secretary and All India Motor Transport Congress (AIMTC) South Zone vice-president Y.V. Eswara Rao has urged the Union government to drop its plan to raise petrol and diesel prices.

In a press statement issued on Monday (May 4, 2026), Mr. Eswara Rao said that although crude oil prices in international markets had declined over the past two to three years, the benefit had not yet reached consumers in the country.
