B.K. Ponwar honoured withLifetime Achievement Award

Brigadier B.K. Ponwar, the former director of the Counter Terrorism and Jungle Warfare College, Kanker, Chhattisgarh, received ‘The Weekend Leader – VIT Lifetime Achievement Award’ at a function held in Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai, on Thursday. The award was presented by G. Viswanathan, Founder-Chancellor of VIT, and Shankar Bidari, former Director-General of Police, Karnataka. At the same event, K. Pandiarajan, Executive Chairman of CIEL HR Group, received ‘The Weekend Leader – VIT Business Luminary Award’. G.V. Selvam, vice-president, VIT, and Mr. Bidari urged students to be responsible citizens.
