A translated version of the Bhagavad Gita in Savji dialect, an indigenous North Karnataka dialect, will be released in Hubballi on Wednesday.
Addressing presspersons in Hubballi on Monday, senior member of the Somavamsha Sahasrarjun Kshatriya Samaj (SSK) T.M. Maharwade said that the translation is aimed at making the Shlokas more accessible to people by presenting them in their dialect.
The book has been published by Satwik Publication.
The release ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Kamaremma Hall in Kamaripet of Hubballi.
The book has been authored by Yallappa Yamanasa Ladava and Nanda Yallappa Ladava, a couple from the community.
Narayanasa Bhandage will be the chief guest at the programme, while State president of the samaj Shashikumar Meharwade will preside over the function.
