Bheema Shankar Taddewadi has been elected as the national president of the Canara Bank SC/ST Employees’ Welfare Association (Regd.) in its first-ever election. The association has over 12,000 members nationwide.

Mr. Taddewadi, a Senior Manager at Canara Bank’s MSME Branch in Kalaburagi, secured over 70% of the votes.

The polls were conducted by the Deputy Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Bengaluru, following a directive by the High Court of Karnataka, with members voting from across India. 

Other elected office-bearers include Rasananda Munda from Bhubaneswar (Vice-President), Vinod Kumar, Delhi, (General Secretary), Na Duraibhaskar, Chennai, (Deputy General Secretary), Shivakumar S. (Chief Organizing Secretary), and Nayana A. from Bengaluru (Treasurer).
