BJP members from northern Karnataka districts joined the nationwide celebrations marking 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public service.

The BJP took out the ‘Seva Jyothi Yatra’ to mark 25 years since Mr. Modi assumed office as the Chief Minister of Gujarat. The yatra will culminate in a national-level ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Samavesh’, organisers said.

BJP leaders and workers from various taluks across the Belagavi Rural, Belagavi City and Chikkodi organisational districts accorded a grand welcome to the vehicle carrying the flame of the yatra in Belagavi.

Party workers watched a live broadcast of Mr. Modi’s speech on an LED screen in Belagavi.

MP Jagadish Shettar and MLAs inaugurated the newly constructed ‘Seva Jyothi Circle’ during the programme.

Rajeev; MLAs Abhay Patil, Vithal Halagekar and Duryodhan Aihole; former MP Iranna Kadadi; former MLAs Sanjay Patil, Anil Benake, Mahantesh Dodagoudar, Aravind Patil and Mahesh Kumathalli; former MLC Mahantesh Kavatagimath; and party office-bearers, leaders and workers were present.
