BJP staging mock funeral in Mysuru against a ‘bankrupt’ Congress government in the State.

BJP’s Mysuru City and District units took out a ‘mock funeral’ procession in the city on Thursday, accusing the Congress government of mismanaging the State’s finances and pushing the State into ‘bankruptcy’.
BJP’s City unit president L. Nagendra and District president Kumbralli Subbanna led the procession at Ramaswamy Circle in the city.
Mr. Nagendra, who is also a former MLA, claimed that the Finance Department had stalled the release of financial assistance for road works in the State due absence of sufficient funds even though the State government had announced a ₹10,000 crore grant for development of roads.
Financial mismanagement by the Congress government was responsible for the “bankruptcy” of the government. The Congress government keeps pointing an accusing finger at the Centre to cover up its financial mismanagement, he alleged.
Former MP Pratap Simha and other party leaders were also present on the occasion.
