The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will organise a programme, “Good Governance Day – Atal Ji Memorial”, in Hubballi on Thursday to mark the birth anniversary of the former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Addressing media persons in Hubballi on Wednesday, Hubballi Dharwad East Yuva Morcha unit president Praveen Kubasad said that the programme will be held at 5 p.m. at Durgadbail Circle in Hubballi.
The former Minister and MLC C.T. Ravi will be the chief speaker at the event.
Union Minister Pralhad Joshi will inaugurate the programme.
The chief guests will include MLAs Mahesh Tenginakai and Arvind Bellad, MLC Pradeep Shettar and the former MLA Ashok Katave.
Mr. Kubasad said the event will include a screening of the film “Main Atal Hoon” highlighting the key moments of Vajpayee’s life and career.
He also said that arrangements have been made to ensure smooth traffic movement, while there will be enough parking space. He ensured that the public will not face any inconvenience.
