Body of boy washed away in the Cauvery found

Body of a 17 -year-old boy, who was washed away in the Cauvery at Kambarasampettai near Tiruchi on Friday, was found on Saturday afternoon. Police gave the name of the victim as S. Parthasarathy of Kallukuzhi in Tiruchi city.

Parthasarathy, who was studying in an Industrial Technical Institute, went to the Kambarasampettai check dam along with friends to take bath.  He and two of his friends were pulled in by the flow of water. While two boys were rescued by the local people, Parthasarathy was washed away. 

Firefighters conducted a search in the river but could not locate Parthasarathy and abandoned the operation after it became dark. The police said the body of Parthasarathy was found at Oyyamari in Tiruchi on Saturday afternoon.
