The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has given notice of a privilege motion against Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for making allegations that the Leader of the Opposition and former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s farmhouse at Erravelli in Siddipet district has assigned land during the short discussion on prohibited lands under Section 22A of the Registration Act on Wednesday.

Party legislators T. Padmarao Goud and Gangula Kamalakar called on the Speaker G. Prasad Kumar and submitted the notice given under Rule 168 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Telangana Legislative Assembly, stating that Chief Minister Mr. Revanth Reddy’s allegations had violated the privilege of Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao and caused disrepute to him.

They explained that the Chief Minister had alleged that Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao’s farmhouse at Erravelli included 330 acres of encroached assigned lands and said it was completely false. The Chief Minister had made allegations without any proof/basis, they said.

They requested the Speaker to examine their plea and take necessary action.
