BSNL and GVIAL officials exchange an MoU for the provision of total telecom solutions at the upcoming Bhogapuram Airport.

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) Visakhapatnam has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with GMR Visakhapatnam International Airport Limited (GVIAL) for providing comprehensive telecom solutions at the upcoming greenfield GVIAL Bhogapuram Airport. The agreement spanns 10 years and covers end-to-end solutions for the airport, the first of its kind in India.
The MoU was signed in the presence of BSNL, G. Adam, principal general manager, M. Naidu, GM (Srikakulam & Vizianagaram), M. Satya Prasad, deputy general manager (enterprise business), Dali Naidu, DGM (Vizianagaram), and senior officials from GVIAL.
Under the agreement, BSNL will implement a range of emerging and convergent solutions, including FTTH-based voice and data services for GMR and airport-based units, Internet leased lines, P2P and MPLS connectivity on OPEX model utilising existing GMR infrastructure and seamless migration of existing services from the current airport facility including Immigration, Customs, Airports Authority of India (AAI) and Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems.
On behalf of BSNL, Mr. Satya Prasad gave a presentation on the Private 5G (CNPN) network establishment and the use cases to be deployed at the airport with cutting edge technologies.
