CAD Foundation, Mangaluru, in collaboration with Karnataka Bank, under its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme, will on Monday dedicate five state-of-the-art, three-channel GenX ECG machines worth ₹4 lakh to five Primary Health Centres in Dakshina Kannada.
The dedication ceremony will be held at 2.30 p.m. at the District Health and Family Welfare Officer’s office, Mangaluru.
The beneficiary PHCs are Katipalla, Nelyady, Kukke Subrahmanya, Dharmasthala and Kokkada. These strategically located centres will strengthen CAD Foundation’s hub-and-spoke cardiac care network, improving access to early cardiac diagnosis for rural communities and pilgrims visiting Subramanya and Dharmasthala, founder of CAD Foundation Padmanabha Kamath said in a release.
The foundation has so far donated more than 1,250 ECG machines across India and supports early cardiac diagnosis through its telecardiology network, Dr. Kamath said.
The machines will be donated in the presence of H.R. Thimmaiah, District Health and Family Welfare Officer, Dakshina Kannada.
