MP for Dakshina Kannada Capt. Brijesh Chowta appreciated the efforts of the scientist community led by Central Plantation Crops Research Institute (CPCRI), Kasargod, to contain the leaf spot disease in arecanut plantations through nutritional and scientific method-based demonstrations at arecanut plantations in Sullia taluk.

The CPCRI has undertaken the demonstration experiment on six acres of plantations at Chanila village in Guthigaru under the Central government’s Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture scheme.
