The Yadgir Women Police have registered a case against six individuals for allegedly sexually harassing a 22-year-old married woman at various locations.

​According to the FIR, which cited the victim’s complaint, the accused sexually harassed her between June 1 and August 17 on the pretext of promising to marry her. Although the incidents occurred over a month ago, the formal complaint was lodged on September 16.

​Following the registration of the FIR, the police arrested two of the accused and have launched a search operation to trace the remaining four individuals.

​Confirming the development, Superintendent of Police Pruthvik Shankar stated that two suspects had been taken into custody and that a detailed investigation into the matter is currently under way.

The case was registered under sections 64(1), 64(2)(M), 70(1), 351(3), and 190 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023.
