Cash seized at Tiruchi West RTO during DVAC’s surprise check

The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti Corruption (DVAC) team of Tiruchi unit conducted a surprise check at the office of the Motor Vehicle Inspector (MVI) functioning within the Regional Transport Office West at Pirattiyur here on Thursday. 

The checks resulted in the seizure of ₹1.45 lakh “unaccounted money” from the Motor Vehicle Inspector and a few touts. The checks were conducted as part of a State-wide operation conducted by the DVAC teams, said sources.
