A CISF jawan was injured in a firing outside the residence of BJP candidate Pawan Singh at Bhatpara in North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal, prompting the Election Commission of India (ECI) to seek a report, officials said on Monday (April 27, 2026).
The incident occurred late on Sunday (April 26, 2026) night, ahead of the second phase of polling on April 29.
