CITU launches photo exhibition in Vizag

CITU district general secretary R.K.S.V. Kumar inaugurated an exhibition of the photographs of various struggles undertaken by the CITU, at the RTC bus shelter in Maddilapalem on Tuesday (23 December, 2025).

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Kumar said that the photographs of the struggles undertaken in Visakhapatnam district to uphold the rights of workers of various sectors since the formation of the CITU 55-year-ago have been put up on display. Photo expos were being organised at different locations in the city in the backdrop of the 18th CITU national conference to be held from December 31 to January 4, in the city.

Cultural events like folk arts, science exhibition, photo exhibition, short films, literature, and book expo would be organised from December 27 to January 2 on the name of ‘Shramik Utsav’ at the AU Exhibition Grounds, near RK Beach. Film director and producers would attend as guests. On January 4, a rally by workers and their families, and a public meeting would be organised.

The ‘Karmika Jaatara’ to be organised from December 27 to January 4 would review the rights of works, protection of PSUs and formulate plans for waging united struggles during the next three years against the ‘anti-worker’ and ‘anti-people’ policies of the government. He appealed to all sections of the people to participate in the programmes and make them a success.

CITU Maddilapalem Zone secretary P. Venkata Rao, treasurer M. Ch. Appadu, CITU district leaders A. Sitalakshmi, P.S. Narayana, K. Kumari, Anaparthy Appa Rao and Peethala Appa Rao were among those who participated.
