District Collector Anand Mohan inaugurated the Deepavali special discount sale of Co-optex at its Gandhimathi Showroom in Tirunelveli Junction on Friday night.
Mr. Anand Mohan said the Tirunelveli Region of Co-optex, which transacted business through its 13 showrooms to the tune of ₹9 crore during Deepavali discount sale last year, had been set a target of ₹11 crore this year and the sales target for the three showrooms in Tirunelveli district was ₹4 crore.
“Hence, the public should overwhelmingly support Co-optex, which backs the weavers supplying quality products to the customers,” said Mr. Anand Mohan, who purchased materials worth ₹2,345.
The Collector also appealed to the public to join the savings scheme of the Co-optex, wherein the 12th instalment is paid by the society after the member promptly pays the 11 instalments.
Regional Manager of Co-optex N. Rajesh Kumar, Assistant Director (Handlooms) Arockiyaraj, Gandhimathi Co-optex Showroom manager S. Ganapathi were present.
