The Coimbatore Corporation has proposed establishing tax collection centres in all 100 wards to bring tax-related services closer to the public.

At present, 44 tax collection centres are functioning across areas under the Corporation’s five zones. To ensure that every ward has a facility, the civic body has proposed constructing 56 additional centres, at the rate of one centre per ward.
