Commercial LPG price hike spoils the broth for consumers in Tiruchi

The steep increase in the price of commercial LPG cylinders has dealt a severe blow to restaurants and roadside eateries across Tiruchi, raising concerns over rising food costs and the long-term sustainability of small food outlets.

Oil marketing companies have increased the price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder by ₹993, pushing its cost to ₹3,227 from the earlier ₹2,234. This marks one of the sharpest single hikes in recent years.
