Congress leader urges CM to protect sanctity of Tirumala temple

All India Kisan Congress national joint coordinator S. Krishna Chaitanya Reddy has written to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and the Prime Minister’s Office, urging them to take steps to protect the sanctity of the Tirumala temple in the wake of the alleged ghee adulteration in laddu.

In his letter, Mr. Reddy requested the Chief Minister and the PMO to instruct all media outlets to delete data related to the issue, stating that its politicisation has caused distress and hurt the faith and sentiments of millions of devotees. While maintaining that the matter should be thoroughly investigated and action taken against the culprits as per law, he urged Mr. Naidu to direct government officials, political leaders and individuals to refrain from making statements or posting on social media until the investigation is completed. These measures, he said, would go a long way in preserving the sanctity of the prasadam and the temple.
