Crocodile rescued from village and released into the Kollidam

A joint team of Forest department and Fire and Rescue Services rescued a crocodile that was spotted at Murungapettai in Tiruchi Forest Range on Tuesday.

Acting swiftly on information, the team went to the spot and safely rescued the reptile. The team followed standard wildlife handling protocols and safely released the rescued crocodile back into its natural habitat in the Kollidam at Mukkombu, said a Forest department official.
