Members of the Dharwad Jan Jagruti Abhiyan submitted a memorandum to district officials on February 2 demanding basic facilities at the R.N. Shetty Stadium in  Dharwad.
A delegation led by advocates M.B. Huded and Akshay Urmundin, along with Dr. Mallikarjun and Sharan Patil, submitted the memorandum to Dharwad tahisldar, and sought immediate corrective measures.

In the memorandum, they pointed out that hundreds of citizens visit the stadium for walking, jogging and sports activities. However, the stadium lacks adequate infrastructure. They said that the infrastructure and facilities are not in a usable condition.
They highlighted the absence of clean drinking water facility. The lone toilet and two urinals in the sports complex were in poor condition, and unfit for use. The delegation demanded construction of proper and hygienic toilet facilities without delay.
They also raised concerns over stray dogs entering the stadium and biting visitors on multiple occasions. They sought immediate action to ensure public safety.
The tahsildar promised to draw the attention of higher authorities to the issues.
