DMK election manifesto will be heroine too this time, says Kanimozhi

DMK MP Kanimozhi, who heads the party’s manifesto committee, has said that the party’s election manifesto for the Assembly elections would also be a heroine this time.

Speaking to reporters in Thanjavur on Tuesday, she said thae party’s manifestos were usually termed as “hero” of the elections. This time, it might also be termed as a ‘heroine.

Citing the large turnout of participants at the Cauvery Delta zone-level DMK women’s wing conference “Vellum Tamizh Pengal” held at Sengipatti in Thanjavur district, Ms. Kanimozhi said the DMK rule was always a regime for women.

Responding to a query on NEET exemption for medical aspirants in Tamil Nadu, Ms. Kanimozhi said the DMK government was pursuing its objective to get the entrance examinations for undergraduate medical admission scrapped. “The party is confident it can achieve its goal once a change of guard takes place at the central level. Till such time, legal recourse will continue.”

To another query, she said TASMAC liquor outlets were being shut down gradually and more shops would be closed.
