A draft guideline for market values of properties in revenue villages across the district has been prepared to rectify discrepancies in the existing guideline and has been put up for public inspection.
A release from Collector S. Kandasamy said the draft was prepared in accordance with Rule 4(2) of the Tamil Nadu Stamp (Constitution of Valuation Committee for Estimation, Publication and Revision of Market Value Guideline of Properties) Rules, 2010, and the guidelines issued by the Inspector General of Registration, Chennai, in proceedings dated July 18, 2026.
The draft guideline has been displayed at major government offices, including the offices of the Tahsildars and Sub-Registrars in Erode and Gobichettipalayam. The public can submit objections or suggestions on the draft within 15 days to the Valuation Sub-Committee headed by the Collector, either in person or by post. Objections and suggestions can be sent to the Valuation Sub-Committee, District Registrar (Administration), District Registrar’s Office, Rangampalayam, Erode – 638009.
