The Airports Authority of India on Saturday conducted a drill to assess the preparedness for winter operations in Puducherry Airport.
The mock drill held in view of the prevailing fog conditions was to check the preparedness of the Airport to deal with low visibility, K. Rajasekhar Reddy, Director of Puducherry Airport, said in a release.Â
Operational heads of various departments, such as Air Traffic Control, Fire, Motor Transport, Engineering-Electrical, Engineering-Civil and Safety Manager attended the dry run. IndiGo Airline staff and personnel in-charge of Meteorological Department were also present. Information pertaining to fog conditions will be circulated through social media for the awareness of passengers, the release said.
