Divisional Railway Manager, Waltair, Lalit Bohra instructed the officials concerned to augment the Kirandul passenger train with additional coaches, and to operate a special train on high-demand days.
The DRM, accompanied by ADRM (operations) K. Rama Rao and senior officials, inspected Visakhapatnam railway station on Sunday (December 28, 2025). He checked for cleanliness, crowd management, passenger amenities, and safety-related issues. He inspected the booking office area, foot-over-bridge, catering stalls etc., and reviewed the security arrangements on the platforms and CCTV monitoring.
Reviewing the passenger turnout on the Visakhapatnam – Kirandul route, DRM instructed officials to augment Kirandul passenger train by attaching additional coaches and instructed them to operate a special train on high-demand days. It was decided to enhance the composition of train no. 58501 Visakhapatnam–Kirandul Passenger by attaching one General Second Class Coach from December 29, 2025 to January 20, 2026.
In the return direction, 58502 Kirandul–Visakhapatnam Passenger will also be augmented with one General Second Class coach from Decemebr 30, 2025 to January 21, 2026.
In addition, a special train will be operated on Decemebr 29 (Monday) to clear the extra rush of passengers, as per the notified timings and stoppages.
