DVAC seize ₹4,48,500 from sub registrar office in Kalugumalai; case registered against sub registrar

In a surprise check conducted by the Department of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Police at the sub-registrar office in Kalugumalai on Thursday, the police seized ₹4,48,500 in unaccounted cash.

Acting on a tip off that various irregularities were taking place at Kalugumalai Sub Registrar office, a team led by DVAC Deputy Superintendent of Police Peter Paul Durai along with other police personnel and Inspection Cell Officer R. Chakravarthy from Revenue Department arrived at Kalugumalai sub registrar office around 7 p.m.
