Education is the light of life and students should set higher goals for themselves, according to K Jeyakumar, Principal District Judge..
Addressing students at a Christmas celebration organised at CMS Hostel for Boys here on Saturday, he said the students staying in the hostel should put their entire focus on education as the rural areas faced challenging situations.
He advised them to show respect to their parents, teachers, and elders. “Apart from learning, you should spend your free time in engaging in group sports activities,” he said.
Stating that the students were the hope for the future, he appealed to them to realise that education was the light of life and they should set their eyes on higher goals.
The Judge also assured them that they had all the support they required to make their dreams come true.
He distributed new dresses to 40 students and provided rice and groceries needed for the hostel.
The event was presided over by hostel warden Edwin Kanagaraj.
