Expenditure and Police Observers hold review meeting

Prashant Rokade, Election Expenditure Observer for the Aravakurichi Assembly constituency, on Friday visited and inspected the District Media Monitoring Centre functioning here.

During the inspection, he interacted with the staff, reviewed the monitoring mechanisms, and issued necessary directions for intensified and effective monitoring, particularly in the light of strict enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct, with special emphasis on monitoring of social media platforms. He said that all election-related advertisements must be certified by the District Media Certification and Monitoring Committee (MCMC) before being published.
