Fifth accused in bus operator’s murder arrested

The Malpe police have arrested Mohammed Sinan, the fifth accused in the murder of Saifuddin, owner of AKMS private bus fleet in Kodavoor in September 2025.

Police arrested Sinan near MGM College in Udupi on Monday. The police seized the car and the mobile phone used by Sinan. He was produced before the jurisdictional magistrate, who remanded Sinan in judicial custody.

Saifuddin was called to his house in Kodavoor in Malpe police station where he was allegedly hacked to death on September 27. The police have so far arrested four persons in this case.
