
The government exhibition held at Bose Maidan in Salem concluded on Sunday.

A total of 1,34,859 people visited the Government Exhibition 2026 held at Bose Maidan in Salem over the past 52 days. Compared with 2025, more people visited the exhibition.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Transport Minister A. Vijay Tamilan Parthiban on August 8.
A total of 26 government departments, including Salem Corporation, Rural Development, Transport Department, Tamil Development and Information, Tourism Department, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Department, Forest Department, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department, Police Department, Animal Husbandry Department, Health and Family Welfare Department, Cooperative Department, Revenue Department, Social Welfare Department, Horticulture Department, Public Works Department (PWD), Aavin and Women Empowerment Department, and five government-affiliated departments, exhibited stalls in the exhibition.
The exhibition also had stalls by private people and various entertainment features for the visitors, especially children. The exhibition concluded on Sunday, October 4, 2026, evening. A total of 1.34 lakh people — 1.10 lakh adults and 24,787 children — had visited the exhibition over the past 52 days. A sum of ₹ 18.98 lakh was collected as entry fee.
