GVMC Commissioner orders completion of median, beautification works within a month ahead of CII Summit

Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) Commissioner Ketan Garg on Tuesday inspected the central median development works being taken up from Dutt Highland Junction to Polamamba Temple in Siripuram.

Mr. Garg said the State government had recently allocated ₹400 crore under a special package for the comprehensive development of the city. The funds would be utilised for the development of major roads, central medians and dividers, greenery, modernisation of junctions, installation of modern lighting and other development and beautification works across the city.

He directed officials to accord priority to development and beautification works, with only a month left for the CII Partnership Summit to be held in the city. He instructed the Chief Engineer to prepare and implement an action plan in coordination with engineering officials and representatives of the contracting agency to commence the works immediately and complete them within the stipulated timeframe.
