Citizens Voice Coimbatore (CVC), in association with the Citizen Consumer and Civic Action Group, Chennai, and in collaboration with Kongunadu Arts and Science College and VET Institute of Arts and Science, Erode, will organise an inter-collegiate competition on February 18.

The competition will be held under two themes: Traffic Safety and Order (My Accident-Free City) and Wealth from Waste, to encourage college students to think innovatively and responsibly on socially relevant issues.

Under the Wealth from Waste theme, participants are required to present ideas that demonstrate income generation or economic value creation from waste materials. Entries must include a business model.

For the Traffic Safety and Order theme, participants may present ideas related to road safety, accident prevention, pedestrian safety, traffic regulation, and efficient mobility systems. The preliminary round will consist of short films of not more than five minutes, while the final round may include idea presentations, prototypes, skits, street plays, or digital presentations focusing on reducing road accidents.

Each team may consist of up to five participants. Registration closes on February 7, and spot registration will not be allowed.

Cash prizes of ₹5,000, ₹3,000, and ₹2,000 will be awarded for the first three places respectively, in each theme, along with trophies. Certificates will be issued to all participants. For details, contact 9600904478, 9894572828, 9791838508, or 9487373581.
