The Adyar Eco development project, launched in 2024, has progressed well in the Theosophical Society (TS) Adyar campus, with the Lotus Pond renovated and vacant spaces transformed to make it a place of contemplation, said Tim Boyd, president of the Society.

Inaugurating the 150th international convention, celebrated under the theme of ‘One World, One life – The spirit of new humanity’, at the Adyar campus on Wednesday, Mr. Boyd said that as part of the Eco-project, a blue-green environment centre has also been set up, and is functioning near the Olcott Memorial Higher Secondary School. He also explained the renovation of the Blavatsky Museum under the art project, with several artworks and paintings conserved and restored.

Mr. Boyd said the Theosophical Society, which was founded in New York in 1875, made the Adyar campus its headquarters in 1882, and became a worldwide movement. He said the World Congress, organised every seven years, was successfully organised in Vancouver of Canada this year and more than 400 delegates participated.

Mr. Boyd launched a booklet of the 30 art collections of the Blavatsky Museum. The 150th international convention would be held from December 31 to January 4.
