According to the police, traffic personnel were checking vehicles when they stopped Manju’s vehicle. Manju allegedly questioned the officer, asking how he could stop his vehicle, and this led to an argument.

Manju is accused of grabbing traffic police personnel Arun Manjappa by the collar and assaulting him. A video purportedly showing the incident has surfaced on social media.

The altercation was reportedly brought under control after bystanders intervened and separated the two.

Following the incident, the traffic police personnel lodged a complaint at Hulimavu police station. Based on the complaint, police registered a case and subsequently traced Manju to a private hotel, where he was arrested on the charge of assaulting a public servant on duty.
