District Crime Branch Police have arrested two women who allegedly cheated a job-seeker to the tune of ₹8 lakh in the guise of getting him job in the Department of Public Health.
In his complaint, Ajith Kumar, 27, of Tirunelveli said Rajalakshmi, 43, of Sivaganga and Sarojini, 28, of Pudukottai, who introduced themselves as ‘Sanitary Inspectors’, promised him of getting Sanitary Inspector post in the Department of Public Health and reportedly took ₹8 lakh from him for getting the job.
When the women gave him an ‘appointment order’, he found it to be fake when he checked with the Department of Public Health.
Based on the complaint, the District Crime Branch registered case against Sarojini and Rajalakshmi, who were arrested on Friday and remanded in judicial custody.
