Jana Sena Party (JSP) MP Lingamaneni Ramesh has written to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu urging him to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public service on October 7 through prayers and service activities.
Mr. Modi had assumed office as the Chief Minister of Gujarat on October 7, 2001.
Mr. Ramesh suggested that Andhra Pradesh commemorate the occasion in a manner reflecting its spiritual traditions, cultural diversity and ethos of service and social harmony. He requested the Chief Minister to issue necessary instructions to the departments concerned.
He suggested that special prayers for peace, prosperity and the welfare of the people and the nation be held at prominent temples across the State, including those at Tirumala, Srisailam, Srikalahasti, Vijayawada (Goddess Kanaka Durga temple), Simhachalam, Annavaram, Kanipakam and Lepakshi.
He also suggested organising voluntary prayer and service activities at prominent dargahs, churches and gurdwaras across the State, subject to the consent of the respective institutions and applicable procedures.
