Maa Kauvery has launched the Kauvery Breast Clinic, a one-stop centre staffed by women surgeons and consultants, in Tiruchi on Monday, aiming to make breast health consultations and treatment more comfortable and accessible for women.
The launch follows the hospital’s Vaanga Amma Kitta Paesalam campaign, which encourages women to speak openly about breast health and seek timely medical care. The initiative seeks to promote early intervention by encouraging conversations about breast health at home.
D. Senguttuvan, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Maa Kauvery, said every woman, at every stage of life, should be able to discuss her breast health openly and receive clear answers without delay. The clinic brings comprehensive breast care under one roof, sparing women the need to visit multiple doctors for consultations, scans, and biopsies. It combines advanced technology and specialist expertise to guide patients from concern to clarity, he added.
The services include breast cancer screening and early detection, evaluation, and treatment of benign breast diseases, genetic risk assessment and screening, oncoplastic, and breast reconstructive surgery, cosmetic breast procedures, psychological support, and rehabilitation, and breast cancer diagnosis and treatment. The clinic is supported by an all-women team of surgeons and consultants specialising in breast surgery, radiology, pathology, oncology, gynaecology, and psychology, according to a press note.
