KRCL tests drinking water at railway stations

Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd. (KRCL) conducted bacteriological tests on drinking water at all stations between Shiroor in Udupi district and Thokur in Dakshina Kannada district.

The tests were conducted to verify whether the water provided at stations was fit for drinking, according to a communique. In addition to bacteriological testing, chemical analysis of water was carried out at Innanje and Nandikoor Railway Stations, which are located close to a thermal power plant.

Konkan Railway conducts water testing on a regular basis for the safety of passengers. Samples collected from all these stations were found to be fit for consumption, the communique added.
