A man stabbed his wife to death over a domestic dispute and later surrendered before the police in Hubballi on Monday.
The accused is Irfan Shiggaon, a resident of Ramalingeshwar Nagar in Hubballi. He stabbed his 28-year-old wife Thaisin multiple times resulting in her death.
The couple, who earlier resided at Gandhiwad, shifted to Ramlingeshwar Nagar recently.
The woman was reportedly upset over her husband’s financial irregularities and demanded back the money she gave to him to repay his loans.
On Monday, they fought over the same issue and as it escalated, Irfan stabbed her to death, sources said.
After committing the crime, the accused went to Keshwapur Police Station to surrender.
The Gokul Road Police, in whose jurisdiction the crime took place, have registered a case.
The couple have two children.
