BJP State president Nainar Nagenthran said the NDA alliance in the State post-Pongal would emerge more stronger.

Addressing the public and the party cadre as part of his Statewide campaign in Dindigul on Saturday, he said the plan of Chief Minister M.K. Stalin was to make his son and Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin the next CM. “To bring his son to the throne, he is employing all techniques to keep their alliance intact,” he added.

Saying that rumours about the Congress pressing for power-sharing in the State was itself a blot in their alliance, he said, adding they would not last longer.

“The DMK government, known as extortionists by the people, has once again proved its poor administration by paving the way for local DMK leaders to threaten and grab properties of the poor,” Mr. Nagenthran alleged.

The rising number of crimes — 7,500 murders and 72 lockup deaths — in the State since DMK came to power showed its inefficiency in keeping police and law and order in its control, he noted.

The Thirupparankundram issue which badly hurt the sentiments of Hindus would surely put an end to the ‘anti-Hindu’ DMK’s regime, he said.

Former AIADMK Minister Dindigul C. Srinivasan and BJP MLA Vanathi Srinivasan were present.
