New ‌York Governor Kathy ​Hochul declared a ⁠statewide disaster emergency on Monday over ‌a measles outbreak, after ‌108 cases ‌were ⁠reported in ⁠the state this year.

Since July 15, ​92 cases ‌have been reported in 18 New York counties, ‌while Pennsylvania has ​reported 977 cases, many ⁠in rural counties along the New ‌York border, the Governor said.

The order also requires all measles-mumps-rubella ‌shots to be reported ​to New York state or ⁠New York City ⁠immunization registries within 72 hours.
